The Concert was great…but,
The concert kicked ass. Some band we never heard of ws up 1st, then Hinder. They were ok. Staind was up next. They kicked some serious ass. The energy they give off was amazing. Love the sound and feeling of your chest vibrating along with the bass. I’d look over and “the boy” was tapping along and drumming to the music. Well come to think of it, so was I. Must be nice. 4 guys, doing something they love and getting a load of money for doing it. We’d see them again in a flash. After them it was 3 Doors Down. They were ok. I’ll leave it at that.
But………what the fuck happened???? I’ve never seen so many 50-60 year old women dressed to impress and trying to look and act like they were 25. They loopked pretty skanky if you as me. I mean, vericose veins and mini skirts just dont go together. Oh and tube top girl with the 2 guys from muscle beach. She was kinda loaded up top, but the muscle beach guy with her had bigguns too. Shoulda seen his shirt. He had it cut down the front to “show off” how big his chest was. Not sure if the guy or girl woulda made this guy happy. The one who was wearing this shirt: (he looked pretty weird anyway)
But back to the old ladies. They were all pretty gross. We had “brooklyn” behind us. The drunk lady over in the next section. We had more than enough fun just watching these people and making fun of them.
Other than that, it was great. It rained pretty hard when we got there and we sat in the car for a while. We got a little wet when we stood in line. Thank goodness we had reserved seats and were protected from the rain, unlike all the people on the lawn.
In a few weeks, we’re going to see Boston and Styx. Couple of throwbacks and dating myself. I’ll have a good time. I hear a lot of Boston lately with the boy playing on Rockband. We’re going with Bon Fire Buddy and his family also. Will be fun
Later!

Cougars dude, they’re called Cougars—RAWR!
COUGARS??
What are they called if they DONT look good then?
“What are they called if they DONT look good then?”
Then they’re called sour puss.
Michael Sweet from Stryper is now taking the lead, this is very intriging to me. I heard his brother Robert may be playing drums in a few spots as well. Glad you had a blast, my turn now.
CDM – Stryper?? No kidding. Weren’t they kinda a christian rock band? I had a CD of theirs. They had a good sound.
Ok, eeuuww! I know these kinds of women and puh-leaze, dress like you want, but remember that you ARE NOT in your 20’s anymore! I have some clothes that I look good in, but usually prefer my jeans, t-shirts and birks. No mini skirts for this 46 y/o!
btw: I still listen to Boston and Styx too!
Yeah, I thought Stryper was a Christian band, too. I remember a girl in high school who thought I was going straight to hell because I wouldn’t go to her church or any other church for that matter, was a big fan of theirs.
I know what you mean about those dressed to impress women! I see them everywhere, not just concerts. They tend to hang out at the grocery store. Oh my.
I need to go to another concert. The last concert I went to was Jimmy Buffett and that was way back in 2002.
Yeah, here we go:
Stryper stands for Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness. The Isaiah 53:5 under their logo is the bible verse that states “by His stripes we are healed”. The band earned their stripes on the Los Angeles metal club circuit and in 1984, after recruiting bass player Tim Gaines, signed with Enigma Records and released their debut mini-album, The Yellow And Black Attack (Y&BA)
If they have enough money they’re still called cougars.
I remember some lady giving me a stryper tape way back when so that I wouldn’t go to hell for listening to Slayer. Hmmm … only time will tell if it worked I guess! LOL
Staind always puts on a damned good show, hope they did an accoustic set.
The thing about 3 Doors Down is you don’t realize how many slow songs they have until you see them in concert. Not really a rockin’ out time if you know what I mean. That and visually they put on a good show, but they don’t really perform that well. That’s just been my experience though.
Now if you REALLY wanna see a good show, go check out Shinedown sometime.
